Cookie Policy
Last updated: 15 May 2026
This Cookie Policy describes the types of cookies and other tracking technologies used on the website solkai.it (the "Website") and has been drafted in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 (the "Italian Privacy Code") and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority on cookies and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021 (no. 231).
1. Data controller
The data controller is EmmePi S.r.l., with registered office at Via Magenta 77, 20017 Rho (MI), Italy, VAT number IT 14405370967, email info@solkai.it. For full details, please refer to the Privacy Policy and the Legal Notice.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that visited websites send to the user's device (computer, tablet, smartphone), where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same websites on subsequent visits. Similar technologies (web beacons, pixels, local storage, fingerprinting, SDKs) are used for similar purposes and, for the purposes of this Cookie Policy, are encompassed in the general concept of "cookies".
3. Categories of cookies used
In line with the indications of the Italian Data Protection Authority, the cookies used on the Website are divided into two macro-categories: technical cookies and profiling cookies.
3.1 Technical cookies (no consent required)
These cookies are installed in order to enable the Website to function and to provide the services requested by the user. The legal basis is Article 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code. They include:
- Navigation or session cookies: ensure the normal operation and use of the Website (e.g. cart management, checkout, log-in).
- Functional cookies: store choices made by the user (e.g. language, currency, region).
- Aggregate first-party analytics cookies: used directly by the Controller to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the Website, without identifying the individual.
Examples of technical cookies set by the Shopify platform:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _shopify_y | Shopify | Unique visitor identifier. | 1 year |
| _shopify_s | Shopify | Session identifier. | 30 minutes |

3.2 Analytics and user-experience cookies (subject to consent)
These cookies measure user behaviour and the effectiveness of the Website, including with non-aggregated identifiers or session recordings. They are installed only after explicit consent has been given through the cookie banner. The legal basis is Article 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code and Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

5. Granting consent
Upon the first visit to the Website, a cookie banner is displayed in compliance with the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority, with the following equally prominent first-action choices: "Accept all", "Reject all", "Customise". Continuing to browse without interacting with the banner does not constitute valid consent: only technical cookies are installed. Scrolling the page does not in any case constitute valid consent.
Consent given is recorded and stored for documentation purposes and may be withdrawn or modified at any time by reopening the cookie preferences from the dedicated "Cookie preferences" link available in the Website footer.
6. Disabling cookies from the browser
In addition to the banner controls, users may configure their browser to accept or refuse cookies, delete them or receive a notification before installation. Instructions for the most common browsers are available at:

The user may exercise at any time the rights granted by Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, as set out in the Privacy Policy, by writing to info@solkai.it.
8. Changes
